Cleaning With Kids

Most parents would agree that kids should help out with home tasks to some degree. Aside from your plan to hire a maid or  book a home cleaning service, learning how to do basic home chores is a life skill kids should learn. Your children can help with home cleaning chores and such activities will help kids to focus on a task

Start with simple tasks

Sorting anything can be the best to begin with! Dusting or vacuum will be a good choice to start the cleaning task.

Give the kids their own cleaning tools and supplies.

Make dusting into a game. Give your children their own duster and let them do the simple home cleaning tasks. They will love helping wash windows or anything that lets them use a spray bottle! Invest in a toy vacuum or similar appliance to let them push around behind you.

As parents, we all tend to spend a lot of time tidying up, organizing toys that spreads all over the house. When it comes to cleaning up toys, it is never too early to get your little one involved and show them how it is done. Invest in a good toy storage system with clear labels.

Evoke a sense of responsibilities

-If you have pets, feeding pets or helping with the fish tank, is definitely a job with their name on it.

-Children above 7 years of age can make their own bed and draw the curtains.

-When doing the laundry, let them sort the clothes into whites and colors

-Encourage your kid’s green fingers! Give them a garden corner to grow plants and allow your child to explore the plants with all their senses.

Getting kids to participate in household chores is exciting when you inject some fun to it. Just make sure you assign tasks according to the age and which could be easily accomplished. When you start with kids at an early age and keep things fun and exciting, apart from them enjoying it, this also provides them a great sense of accomplishment and responsibility.
